The Los Angeles Conservation Corps, through a contract with the National Park Service, is set to clear the fence line along the Colodny Drive and Chesebro Road homes in Old Agoura that back up to [SAMO] Conservancy Land and the Cheeseboro National Recreation Area. They will keep maintaining it and do all of this again next year. The lower creek areas along Chesebro will remain in their natural state (currently under a [MRCA] Conservancy habitat restoration program) for ecological preservation and wildlife conservation. Many thanks to Old Agoura Homeowners President Jess Thomas and Agoura Hills Councilmember Kate Anderson for spearheading this important wildfire protection plan. Jess's contact at the LA Conservation Corps shared the attached map and schedule (though they noted that the last part is being pushed a bit). The yellow line is what they are clearing (predominantly invasive mustard plant).
